Statement of Faith
At Oakland Mills Community Church, we believe in the full sufficiency of Scripture to answer all life’s questions, we affirm the fact that Jesus is Lord over every aspect of life, and we proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ which alone has the power to bring sinners to repentance and true salvation.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image.
We believe that mankind fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and that all men are sinners in need of salvation.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe that salvation is a gift through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head.
We believe that Satan is real and personal.
We, the body of Christ at Oakland Mills Community church, with the help of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; commit ourselves to Exemplify Christ in our personal lives and in our Christian walk.
